I would blend the eyeshadow out with a nuetral color eyeshadow just to get rid of the harsh edges imo. I'm not an expert but I wear a lot of colors on my lids sometimes and always blend it out with a nuetral color to make it softer.

haha wow thanks, must be awesome foundation. my skin is abysmal, large pores, oily, spotty lol! but I've been trying a new technique so it must be paying off. so thank you xx

Primer, translucent powder, primer and then my foundation. it's the only way of stopping my makeup sliding off.
