I use a translucent powder to set my foundation and I feel like it makes me look pale and covers my contour I did with my maybelline cream sticks. Can I just powder nose and under eyes where my makeup gets runny?

I never use any powder on my skin aside from a light dusting of Mineral Veil...and even that is rare for me. My skin runs dry so I like to keep powder away and use a good primer and setting spray instead.

You don't have to, agree with Charli depends on your skin type. I have crazy oily skin and have to apply powder on my tzone and cheeks (:

You don't have to..however, if you have oily skin, it might be best. I personally have oily skin, but only powder my Tzone because 1) that's where I get most oily and 2) I like the dewy look so I don't set my whole face because I don't want it matte.
Also, you may be using too much powder if it's turning you pale. Make sure to tap the brush to take off excess powder.

Oh and I always make sure to set my under eyes so it won't crease.

I have oily skin so I powder my entire face and then take off the excess with my hands. It makes makeup last much longer.

You can apply only in area's that get oily just like foundation it does not need to cover your whole face.I will add that the maybelline cream stick is a foundation that give's a nice finish to the skin and is actually doing the job of making you have a subtle look because it is after all a cream foundation. If using this product to try and achieve sculpting that product will not achieve it even if you think it can because the cream will melt to the skin as it should. Sculpting contour line's are not meant to be seen at all it actually should be seamless to help the illusion of a shadow and your blush would be the added bonus to help with the structure of cheekbones.:)
