Instead of using a lot of exfoliater, try to cut down on it since it'll just make your skin drier, instead after you put your first layer of lotion on, put another layer on the spots that you need :) for me I need to put it around my nose chin& forehead, since those parts get flaky, but do it where ever you need to! :p.

Don't exfoliate as much! It is ripping your skin apart even more! Just stick to moisturizer

My skin does that too in winter... Don't use an exfoliator because it can irritate your skin. Its also best to use a cream that isnt too heavy. My advice would be the barrier repair by Dermalogica. This product is from the Utra Calming line. It helped me get through last winter. I like it because it doesn't clog your pores, give you a nice matte finish, loads of hydration, and leaves your skin silky smooth. It may take two uses to really work though. For a cleanser, the original Cetaphil is a good option.

Great advice Jacqlyn. I also need my Aquaphor! Philosophy Microdelivery Wash is a gentle exfoliant that works well with dry skin.

My skin tends to peel as well and the only solution that works for me is putting an overnight hydrating mask twice or three times a week, I recommend dermalogica hydrating masque, glam glow thirstymud or origins drink up intensive overnight mask.
