I'm going to order Estel foundation online since nowhere in town sells it. So should I order their matte primer as well?

I think if you have oily skin give their primer a go, since their matte primer is for oil control

I have oily/combo skin and do not need a primer at all with the ELDW. Instead of primer I set it with a translucent powder and I am good to go all day and night without needing touch ups. If you have excessively oily skin then I would say go for it but otherwise I don't think it's necessary.

Well my skin gets super oily when I wear makeup. I only occasionally wear a primer if I have a lot of redness but I don't see much of a difference with the staying power of it. I set with translucent powder too! So I'll just try this combo out and see :)

Maybe it's the primer that you use that isn't compatible with either your skin type, or with your foundation. Because when I use a primer I definitely see a difference in smoother application, & longer wear time. :-)

Gisell that's what I was thinking at first but I have tried 6 or 7 primers with it and not one has made a difference. I even asked the representative at the Estee counter what primer they would recommend and they told me that they personally thought this foundation has a longer wear time without one. I've given up on priming with it, but luckily it lasts 15+ hours for me without one so I'm not to worried about it.
