Jojoba and garlic are two other nail strengtheners! I personally found Sally Hansen made my nails hard, but not flexible - so they were still very prone to breaking when they came up against pressure. I use jojoba oil now (just a half drop or so rubbed onto each nail every night) and my nails are just as hard as with SH but also flexible and no breaks.

Cut a lemon in two and literally just stick your fingers inside for a little bit, a few minutes or so. (Make sure there's no cuts on them!) it'll make your nails stronger, less prone to breakage, and whiter.

I hadn't heard of using lemon before, but it reminds me that over time jojoba can give nails a slight yellow tint from its natural golden color. So it might work best to combine lemon and jojoba!

That's used to happen to me as well. I was told I had a vitamin deficiency. So maybe start taking some vitamins as well as the home remedies the girls above suggested!
