Bananas are full of all sorts of goodness-even the part we don’t eat. Their peels contain something called lutein, an extremely powerful antioxidant that reduces swelling and inflammation, and encourages healthy cell growth. Rubbing a banana peel on your face can reduce the redness, obviousness, and discomfort of acne.

I wish I could do that but I dislike bananas so much I can't stand their smell:(

Rubbing the inside of a banana peel on a bug bite makes it stop itching.

Isolating the lutein is what makes it powerful and just slapping the peel on the skin isn't going to give you those antioxidant benefits. Its far better to consume it than trying to apply it topically using a peel.

I've tried this..rubbed inside of banana peel to breakouts and it does help to subside the pain of pimple but it's also drying n stings😁also leaves a brown thready residue..saw this on hudabeauty blog and it's definitely not part of my regimen but was fun to try..
I did this banana peel thing for a few days,4times/day and saw som improvement but I've never done it since..
If I'm ever stranded in an island full of bananas then I kno I hav something to use for breakouts😝
