What color is her room? My room is purple and my furniture is white. So I have a few purple flowers and for the brushes I also put small purple crystals in vases. I use silver and black decorations.

Warm tones will complement your sister's room. Reds, golds, oranges, goldenrod, yellows, varying shades of brown... Even some darker magentas and chartreuse. Bring color into the room with a bedspread, throw pillows, curtains, and art.
She can display her makeup products in decorative jars, or even take compartmentalized containers and decorate them herself using fabric, paint, glitter, sequins, ribbons, etc. A pretty jewelry holder is both functional and decorative.

I would juxtapose the modern clean lines of the ikea furniture with more worldly and exotic prints and textures. Things like you find at Pier 1 and World Market, for example. But that's just my style. She should incorporate the things she loves and make the space her own.

I think shades of pink. I love the color of chocolate brown and pink to it. Pink will ignite femininity, it brings out girly feelings and it represents love. It's a positive color that brings out positive emotions! Going on with the flower and vase idea is great - white vase with pink and white flowers with yellow accent flowers. Some trinkets or picture frames that bring back happy memories too
