For toner I would invest & look at the shisheido line, they have amazing toners but they don't call them toners, they call them softeners. They have a shisheido at macys, their toners are Amazinggg!!

CeraVe is for dry skin :)

Right now I'd stick with the most basic of products to avoid irritating your skin further. Brands like Cetaphil and CeraVe are excellent for people with skin irritation. Avoid foaming or gel cleansers and scrubs. Focus on a good moisturizer, like CeraVe. I don't need or use a toner, but I've heard good things about using aloe water or rosewater if your skin is dry. Patch test first to make sure they won't irritate your skin.

I was on hormonal birth control for 13 years and in that time my skin was broken out pretty much constantly on my chin and jawline. I stopped taking it about a year ago and I haven't had a single pimple except here and there when it's that time of the month. If you try all these ladies great suggestions and they don't work I suggest seeing a dermatologist. I had tried everything but never thought my bc could've been the cause. It could've saved me years of embarrassment and scars:(

CeraVe works really great with dry skin but a great brand to look into is dermatalica, it's a bit pricey but the results are great.

I use CeraVe because it doesn't feel heavy. It's nice and I love it, and I do a rose water toner only when I get super SUPER oily, or I've worn makeup so my son doesn't get overkill. For an exfoliator, I use one that has small beads or whatever they are, and had the oatmeal for soothing. I love it :)

The only thing I've used that was more moisturizing than CeraVe would be maybe a cleansing oil but that would be risky for acne prone skin I'd think. If you want to give it a shot though, DHC makes an amazing one.

Which CeraVe products are you using? Some of their washes and lotions are geared toward people with acne rather than dry skin, and will leave you feeling dry.

I use Mario bedescu (I have combo/oily skin) but he makes one for dry skin, too. I LOVE it.. My skins never felt so smooth and clean and it cleared up my very few breakouts within a day. If CeraVe isn't working I'd definitely try that. I get mine at Ulta
