I have a cheer comp. coming up this Saturday, and I don't know how to do my makeup for the stage!!

My criteria for stage makeup may be different than what youre required for cheer, because mines more of a theatre thing. I've always been told to slightly exaggerate your features. Extra blusher, bright lips, false eyelashes, the works jusy so that youre not drowned out by the lights. But I'm not sure what kind of setting youll be in. Am I correct to assume there will be bright lights?
