How do I make the purple lipstick rock?

So I bought purple lipstick to try something new but I'm not so sure how to make it look good I'm not really sure I always went with red lips or nude lips.

Pinterest is a good place to look for cheap dupes for higher end makeup.

Rozberry! the closest looking dupe I found was the Rimmel London lasting finish (black tube, red writing) lipstick in "Rosetto"!

unfortunately it won't let me post pictures but here is a link showing the comparison :)

Woops I meant Wet N Wilds lipstick in shade "919B" is closer to it! but it shows both the WnW and Rimmel ones compares to smoked purple :)

Maybe try make it sheer and as you get more confortable build it up=)
And for the eyes use a crease colour and a slight highlight.
I think a matte base looks better which purple lips
