I think every brand has its ups and downs.Sometimes it's error from one's application sometimes it's just a bad product.I personally always disliked Cover girl it stems from my younger years looking at everyone's face and noticed the discoloration of bad foundation discoloration everyone always seemed to have a pink or orange finish as if those were the only colors they carried so I would ask what they were using and most of the time it was cover girl and the fact that you could smell cover girl makeup it has a awful scent. My favorite face foundation is Givenchy I love that foundation it's such a pretty finish to the skin and the powder is just as great.Hard candy actually have great eye liners plus they use to be sold at sephora a few years back so Wal-Mart hooked them in which was smart.I agree with Grace Anastasia has actually took over lol but I think that line needs to go back to what it used to be years ago just one person Anastasia and her shop in Beverly hills all about brows and shaping them nothing more.

Revlon - the only products of theirs I've liked are the lip products. Other than that, I find everything really had quality with pretty poor pigmentation. Just...no.

Totally agree with everyone about almay, it's garbage. Covergirl is a no go for me, everything in the line is cheap.
My Lancôme shadows are garbage. So chalky and gross. Aaaand tbh too faced shadows swatch well and are soft but when I put them on the eye, are not so great.

I agree with Alma, every brand has it's hits & misses. I can't really generalize towards one brand as a whole but I can say what products I did use and disliked.
L.A Girl Single Shadow
My first and last purchase from L.A Girl was a single shadow in this dark foresty green color. It had very little color pay off even with a primer. I hear people rave about their shadows but I think next time I'll have to play with someone elses shadows. (( I know I'm one to talk as I am quick to dish out money for make up... but I am very very picky about drug store make up. ))
NYC Lipsticks
Very drying and unpleasant to your lips. I highly do not recommend these, not even for a little girl who just wants to play with make up.
Maybelline Gel Liner
I will never understand the hype behind this gel liner. It's not exactly the best on the market ( Inglot has same price, double the quality and double the amount of product and SUPERRR MATTE BLACK ).
It just does not work. It smudges everywhere... I have dry skin - smudging is RARE.
L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation
If I had to guess what inspired Frozen's 'Let it go' song, my first guess would be the lasting power of this foundation. By the end of the day it's like I never put on anything. It also looks really oily.. as a dry skin gal.. looking oily is supposed to be a thing I'll never experience.
Covergirl
Unfortunately, anything covergirl has never worked. Eye shadows, blushes, foundations, mascara...

Hard Candy. I remeber when they started off in Nordstrom and sephora. I saw an add in teen magazine (17 or 18 years ago?) and made my mom drive me to nordstroms to buy the Sky nail polish that Alecia Silverstone made so popular (who remembers this?!). the products were so amazing and I'm pretty sure hard candy was my first real make up purchase (along with urban decays nailn polish in the color A Life Less Ordinary...to promote the movie of course and Shattered...a chunky glitter polish)...did in just totally date myself with that and am I the only person who remembers this? now hard candy is crap. the look and packaging is wonderful...so eye catching but man the products are a let down. I guess I'm still searching for their amazing eye shadow quads and glitter eye liners.

Haha Kelly remember their nail polishes used to come with those heart shaped jelly rings?!

Yes! I loved those things! I bought a nail polish from them a few years ago that had a jelly ring. that was before they re designed their packaging.

I normally don't hate any brand but certain products tend to steer me away from them at the store. NYC, Physicians formula, LA girl, Hard Candy etc. Are just brands I've never been too fond of and never find myself looking at or buying any of their products. Except Covergirl, I just flat out hate Covergirl, I never even look at their section, I only walk down the isle so I can see Maybelline products, but If they weren't there I would avoid the isle at all costs.

@Gemma...Bobbi Brown addict present.*raising my hands* LOL. Its definitely not an overly colorful brand like Urban Decay or MAC. Its definitely for those who like subtle looks. Just wish she would change the packaging. Hot pink instead of black would look nice.lol.
