For your first time you certainly have the main idea pretty on point. I'd say you should practice on making the top more of a smooth line. Then practice the tip of the wing. One step at time everyone starts somewhere (:

Really good for your first time! But yeah, I would definetely advise using a q-tip, thats how I started and it made me not get so mad with it lo. But still, Love the flick!
