I just use a little baby shampoo and warm water - cheap, effective and it makes your brushes smell lovely!

Baby shampoo :) rinse them with warm water and then get them lather them up with baby shampoo and rinse with warm water (depending on how dirty they are you may have to repeat until they're clean) then hang them upside down to dry :)

I've tried baby shampoo and really do like it but I feel brush cleaner works best for me, but I do still use baby shampoo every now and then if needed
