Should I be using a liquid or powder foundation for oily skin? My skin gets extremely oily like literally I can fry chicken with my face :( when I use my bareminerals powder foundation my skin gets soooo oily.. When I use my tarte bb cream not so much but the texture of it is weird so I choose not to use that! Any suggestions or ladies here with oily skin? Give me your skin & makeup regimen a sista needs some help over here 😩

Depends on two things: What your derm says and what's in it. Derms normally don't suggest liquid and some powders can make things worse. I use Clinque Acne Solutions Foundation.

Make sure that ANYTHING you use is oil free& noncomedogenic.
You can try using a setting spray, I have super oily skin as well & I set my foundation with Urban decay oil control setting spray & I also keep oil blotting tissue in my purse at all times :-)
Oh & also there's this pore cleanser from origins it's called zero oil :-) you should check it out :*

Try hourglass immaculate foundation. It's made specifically for really oily skin and actually helps control the oil over time.

Hey, I have the same problem! My skin is oily 24/7 and it's very frustrating! I use a matte primer (Smashbox/Benefit) then Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ or Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundations (both are matte and liquid formula) with a matte setting powder on top. I find it better than cream or powder foundations. There's no guarantee that your skin will not get oily throughout the whole day, but at least it's hold it out for a little longer! Also, oil blotting sheets are my best friend :P lol I heard that Jouer Matte foundation is good, but I haven't tried it out yet. Hope that helps.

I recently started using Ulta's Matte foundation primer and I've never seen my skin so... well, matte.
I have very oily skin as well, though it does calm down a bit this time of year.. but my daily routine usually goes a little something like this.
Ulta Matte foundation primer, then L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation. After I apply that I do a quick spritz of NYX's Matte finish setting spray (don't remember the actual name) and then follow with a little bit of powder. (Typically L'Oreal True Match as well.)
Once that's done, I go about the rest of my makeup, like blush and whatnot - then use my setting spray again.
Before I started using that Ulta primer, I was lucky if I made it 3-4 hours before having to touch up or use a blotting sheet. Now I can get through my whole workday and then some before having to touch up.

I use Neutrogena shine control primer and powder to finish my look. As for foundation, make sure you're using an oil free one. I use Neutrogena bb cream because I don't like a lot of coverage. Also, Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray keeps my makeup on all day, it's amazing.
As for my skin care, I just use the Neutrogena rapid clear line, but if don't get acne you might wanna look into something else.

No7 beautifully matte has the best coverage ever and it also covers dark circles like a concealer and it keeps you really matte and stays on for ages, I promise.
