Hey y'all! Some of you may have seen my collective haul over the past week, and today I wanted to share with you my look and review on the Dior palette in Jardin!

So, first impressions wise, these colors are completely beautiful. If I'm being 100% honest, I bought it mostly for the deep blue color, which I think is gorgeous and unique (at least to my collection, I can't believe I don't have a color like that!). They're all really pretty shades, and I was super excited to use this palette and see if it's worth the $60.

Having used it, some colors are more impressive than others. That almost hurts to say, because I think all of the colors are nice, just some have better payoff than the others. Now, in terms of texture...holy moly. These are SO smooth, so easy to work with, so buttery (yes, buttery!). I was really impressed, actually, at how the shadows felt and how well they blended together. The one thing that I don't like about this palette, in particular, is that the three lighter shades don't really pick up. They are rose-toned, golden-toned and green-toned, respectively. The problem is that the tones aren't saturated enough. I understand that lighter shades are necessary, but these lighter shades don't actually show up as the colors they are. It's frustrating, but they do work as an inner corner highlight, under the brow bone, or for blending out purposes. Unfortunately, I was looking for more visible colors. They're not bad, simply not what I was hoping for upon my acquisition of this palette. I think that this palette (any of the shades, actually) could be really good if you want a better range of shades than the Naked Basics. There are certainly basic neutral palettes, but I love the texture of these 100X better than the texture of the Naked Basics. HOWEVER, these are all shiny/satin shades, in this particular palette. I really like almost everything about this palette, including the fact that there was NO fallout at all. None. I tapped my brush, looked at it, and nothing had fallen off. When I applied the colors, nothing fell, they went where I wanted them, and I'm almost certain that there they will stay! I really recommend this palette for anyone who's looking for a high end palette that's super easy to use, easy to travel with, and generally wonderful.

Now, this is the look I ended up with. Like I said, the blue is my favorite shade, which is why I focused on it for this look. I used the deep blue, dark green, light green and golden shades.

Other products used:
-Mac Paint Pot in Painterly (This is my first time using it, so we'll see how it goes, and I'd be willing to review it or share my experiences if you all would like! Thus far, I like it. It gives a smooth texture, a solid colored surface for application, it covers my veins and evens out the tone of my lids, and it's very nearly a perfect neutral base for me.)
-Dior Mono Eyeshadow in Cosmos (I can review this as well, but I'm madly in love with the deep, sparkly blue. It's a really cool texture, it's like a cushion eyeshadow, and I like that a lot. It's like a drier cream product, but not quite. It's really a thing all its own. I used it as a base color in the outer corner, and it's really pretty, but I think next time I'll try to use it by itself.)
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in Zero
-Per-fekt Lash Perfection Gel

So this is my complete look! As always, questions, comments, suggestions and concerns are very welcome :)

You look so incredibly beautiful!
Thank you for the review, I assume you'll be keeping the palette despite the light shades. It sounds amazing, I've always wanted to own a Dior palette, in the future I might look up a warm toned one.
And this eyeshadow shape is so flattering on you!

ARGH stop it, Breeze, you're making me blush!

I absolutely will, they're still nice eyeshadows, just not what I was expecting, you know? I do recommend a Dior palette, you might like the one called Trafalgar, it's quite pretty and has a really amazing deep red that I'm madly in love with =)

Thanks, I like doing my eyeshadow this way actually, it just happens to work for me!

Love the combo that blue is fabulous 😍 Although the crease area needs a little more blending because it looks a little harsh. Other than that it's cute and it really brings out your eyes ☺️

I really like that light green shade on the lid. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh no, that's the green =) It's the darker one, of the two, because like I said, the light one is basically just a pale color, but not particularly green. I actually really like the way these colors all work together, you can just layer them together and somehow it turns out fine! This whole look took me exactly 14 minutes this morning.
