I needed a new black nail polish so I just grabbed one while I was at the dollar store, and the one I got is so liquidy! Literally just like water. Does anyone know of any ways to thicken up nail polish?

I heard leaving it open for about an hour and then stirring it afterwards works.

Leaving it open will work... But I wouldn't do it for an hour. Check it every 10 15 minutes to make sure it doesn't get too thick :)
