I like to use a gel to keep my hair frizz-free. It coats the hair so frizz can't ride while it's drying, and after it's done you scrunch to break the gel up and release the soft, frizz-free curls. Since you seem quite into diy hair products, you can make one yourself with flaxseed and water. Soak the seeds overnight. Drain, then simmer in water (2cup water per 1/3 cup flax seeds) until it reaches a gel-like consistency and the seeds begin to be suspended in the water. You want it a little more runny than gel as it will solidify more as it cools. Strain out the seeds in a mesh strainer and let cool. Wash the pot and strainer asap as it'll vet much harder to clean if the gel dries. You can add preservatives or essential oils for smell (mix while still hot) but it isn't necessary. If you don't add preservatives, store in a cool dry place (fridge is best) and use within 3 weeks.
