I have cloudy skin and I need a good face wash. I used the estee lauder line for a couple of weeks and I liked it but I felt it was harsh on my skin. and all the stuff was around $400. I just returned everything back and it just clicked at how crazy it is to send that much on face wash and lotions. anyway I was wondering if you could help me?
also I have the estee lauder double wear foundation and I love love love it but I need a drugstore brand for "non important" days. I have a yellow undertone if that helps. thank you so much in advance. lookong forward to hear your response.

I have combo skin, but I use Mario Bedescu.. He has a line for all skin types, though, including oily. I LOVE it.. My skins never felt so soft and clean. For drugstore, I'd recommend loreal true match.

Where do you buy the Mario bedescu at and how much?

I get mine at Ulta.. Depending on how many products you buy (cleanser, toner, lotion, eye cream, mask, etc) they're usually anywhere between 8-20 a piece. What I did was buy a whole starter kit. The bottles are tinier than regular size and its 30 for a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, eye cream and mask. I've had it for about a month and with washing twice a day I'm not even close to needing more, so a little bit goes a long way. It's well worth the 30 and I've never gotten so many compliments on my skin. Half the time, I don't even wear foundation anymore cause it's that good and people are constantly asking what foundation I'm wearing. I'd highly recommend it.

Of course! I really love it.. Just mad at myself it took me this long to discover it! I have the combo/oily kit, so I'm assuming you'd be in the same boat (: and that way it's cheaper to buy refills as you need them and not have to buy he whole starter kit over again. I mainly got the starter kit just to see how my skin reacted.

Mario badescu is a really popular brand but I don't really believe that all products need to be from the same line work for you, so I'm never a huge fan of starter kits. You're putting a BUNCH of new products on your face all at once so it's impossible to tell what things are working and what aren't. If you have a negative reaction to something you'll have no clue which one, which means you have to stop using all the products (like what happened with the Estee Lauder), whereas when you add products slowly you can easily pinpoint what's causing a reaction. Just something to think about as you work on building a skincare routine that works for you!
