I am going to a formal ball tonight and am wearing a long black one sleeve gown. I am probably going to go with a red lip but more of a dark red than a bright one. I have no idea what to do with my eye makeup. I know you should focus on one feature and since I'm doing a dark red lip should I stick to something super simple like winged eyeliner on top and not a lot of eyeshadow? Please help me.

Stick with the simple nudes if you're going for a bold lip. I think Jocelyne's first or second suggestions would be gorgeous but the others may be a bit much with a dark red lip. :)

I think you can do a bit more with the eye and still do a bold lip if it's for a ball. I mean it all depends on what you're comfortable with, but if you don't go all out for a ball, when else you going to go all out? I love that last one with the gold eye and really deep red lip, as well as the one with the smokey eye and the bold red lips.
