I know it has to do with the dryness in the air and your hair, but what can you do about it? I condition my hair but that doesn't seem to help. I've used dryer sheets but they don't last very long. Any advice?

Dry your hair with an old t shirt instead of a towel. It will create less snagging of the hair and keep the strands together. Finger combing is great when your hair is wet. Also, leave a tiny bit of your conditioner in you hair instead of rinsing it all the way. Focus more on your ends, because too much conditioner on your scalp will leave your hair greasy.

Use an oil.. like macadamia, argon, or Morroccon oil. Bumble and Bumble makes one as well. Make sure you're staying hydrated and you are using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Avoid washing your hair daily. You can even add in a hair mask once a week for added moisture.

Static is actually caused from loss of protein. A good thing to try is getting a protein deep conditioner. Also in the meantime for everyday use try "outshine creme" by redken.
