I just decided to go off the Pill. (I was taking Yaz)
I'd like to know if there's a way to avoid the hormonal acne to come, especially because we're in holiday season and I'd like to take pictures without too many face demons.
Is there a special routine I should follow?
I have combination skin (oily on my nose, dry everywhere else)
Should I just be extra caring and use my normal skincare products? (Here at home I have Jojoba oil, salicylic acid scrub with clay, glycolic peel, argan oil, various toners, a gentle soap-free fragrance-free cleanser, a spot treatment...a few other things too. I don't use them all the time but I have them at hand)
Help me, I'm prepared for the worst!

Okay, she says: it should take a few months for your body to adjust, and what is extremely important is to watch your diet (which obviously I can't talk about on here but just avoid things you know make you break out or may irritate your skin) and to make sure that you have a really established routine :)

Good luck! I want to discontinue mine but I've finally got my skin under control and don't want to mess it up! Some foods I know are super high in hormones and might create even more chaos: dairy (in the US at least, not sure about Europe), soy, flax, fennel, milk thistle, anise, and caraway. Oats can increase the absorption of the hormones from those foods, so if you do eat any don't mix with oats. You can look up a list of galactagogues for more (I work for a woman who breast feeds so she loads up on these foods to keep her hormone levels high so she can produce more milk)

Thank you so much Jack! Sorry I replied so late. I'm going to follow your advice!! 💜 right now my skin is being pretty good, I have just one super tiny spot, and it's about to go away. I also read that if your skin wasn't bad before, it probably won't flare up badly.
