Dinair Airbrush product bias?

Everytime I've tried a different product in my dinair airbrush gun it has failed. I can't afford to keep replaceing the foundation that dinair sales and when I bought it I did so under the assumption (after lots of online research leading me to beleive in this assumption) That I would be able to d.i.y. myself some waterbased airbrush foundation and loads of other artsy shades as well. However everything I've tried thus far has either separated, been to thick to pass thru the gun or to diluted to cover please help if you can. P.K.O. Tiff,
