Just heard that Estee Lauder has bought the company GlamGlow...the makers of the "Hollywood masks". I'm not a consumer of the line but I'm a little disappointed that this deal went down simply because anytime there is a major deal such as this of an independent then the ingredients is the first thing that goes thru an overhaul and its not always a good thing (all in the name to maximize profit). Great example is Carol's Daughter. I remember using her stuff when she was hawking out of her kitchen and she was taking orders over the phone. Her popularity soared and then before you know it she sold out and long story short...the line is nothing but a fragrance bomb.
So it should be interesting to see how EL proceeds with the line. So those who are die-hard fans I would buy backup's just in case they decide to go in and tweak with the ingredients.

Oh no! I don't understand why companies think it's a good idea to mess with success. If we already love something why try to "improve" upon it and risk basically ruining our lives? LMAO!

I hate to be the messager with bad news...prior to learning about thru WWD I was scratching my head in wonder when people on BL were saying how they were finding the masks at discount stores on the super cheap. And today this news comes out about the sale of the company.

Wow, that is sad news indeed. I just got my first glamglow mask last month at Costco for only $35 and really love it. I wonder if the price will go up with this change since Estee Lauder products are quite pricey. I guess I'm glad I got to try it but am now disappointed that I probably won't find anymore half off deals on it anymore.

My MIL said she saw it at Costco too. I remember her texting me and asking if I wanted a few jars. Knowing her one will probably end up in my Christmas stocking.lol.

@Talei...I do too (major Bobbi Brown addict) but with buy outs they always go and reformulate to cut costs. Its the nature of the business. GlamGlow has a pretty strong fan base considering the line came out a few years ago. What is your fave EL product? Mine used to be Fruition serum till they discontinued it. :(
