I take medication for chronic pain and one of the many side effects are very puffy upper and lower eyelids. I've tried most everything out there that doesn't break the bank. Oil of Olay worked ok but I became allergic to it. I'm 46 and my eyes look like I was in a 15 round fight, without the black and blue. Any suggestions?

Maybe try drinking more water?

That's got to be tough and uncomfortable! Have you tried one of those eye masks that's kind of liquid and you put it in the fridge to make it cold and then wear either at bed or whenever it's convenient? Also an organic type of eye treatment like something real gentle myself I use mostly organic and natural stuff on my face such as sweet almond oil for my skin as well as vitamin e oil. I have had good luck with the Fresh line from sephora I used to use a green tea eye cream that was very gentle and didn't bother my sensitive skin. Sorry that was kinda all over the place I was just trying to think of things that work for me. Have you considered seeing a naturopath or homeopathic doctor? I am just thinking maybe they might be able to possibly steer you in the right direction. When confronted with any type of body care issue I usually start at my local health store :) good luck and I hope you are able to find something to help you!!

Try taking a spoon, soaking it in cool water, and holding it up to the back of your eye for a while, maybe a minute or two. If it works, it should reduce puffiness and brighten up your eyes! :)

I'm sorry, I meant holding the back of the spoon up to your eye, my apologies! XD.

I face the same problem just put anything cool on your eyes for a while and it takes care of some of this.

Using a rollerball moisturizer will also help bring down the puffiness. I keep mine in the fridge for the added benefits of a cold rollerball.
