I'm 18 and I always get told I look so young and they smirk or laugh and I'm just sick and tired of it because it gets annoying and it's not like I can't ignore it because it happens wayyyy to often. So I was wondering what I can change or do makeup/ hair wise. I appreciate the responses!

Oh man. Okay I'm 20, 21 in two months or so, and people ask me if I'm in high school. Once I was asked if I even had a drivers license or if I was too young. Honestly, it's not worth changing for. Trust me. If you really want to look older, bolder makeup will do it (because darker colors, at least for me, age the face, and because no one would think that a 16 year old would be running around in heavy, bright or crazy makeup). I also found that when I cut all my hair off at the collarbone, I looked far older. I'll see if I can grab you a picture of that.

Lighter hair makes girls appear more older dark hair usual makes most look young try to go a blonde or lighter shade of hair I guarantee it will work I usd to have that problem until I dyed my hair lol but you are Gor.

I feel you I'm 25 and get told that often, not as often as I did when I was 16 to 23 though omg it was all the time and it drove me crazy! now I always say at least when I'm 40 ill look 30! so don't change yourself over it, but if YOU want to only for you I agree with the ladies recommendations. I feel when I'm wearing heels since I'm short and dressed up with makeup I hear it a lot less

I find that having a certain brow shape, preferably with a high arch, can make people look older. Also, using darker shades in your makeup. If you use brown eyeliner, use carbon black, and don't diffuse the color. Also, for hair, blunt, short cuts make people look older. I heard somewhere layers and curls make people look youthful, I guess!

I totally understand you, I get that a tonn too! I'm 22 and get looked at so weird in restaurants, bars, etc. when buying alcohol. It annoys me too. Whenever I want to use makeup to help, I go with a darker look, like brown eyeliner and a dark lip color. For me, pulling my hair completely off my face helps too, and having it straight.

Welcome to the club lol. I'm 22 and people think I'm 14 consistently. Personally, I'd just embrace it. But like everyone else is saying, darker makeup, shorter and straighter hair, more mature clothes and jewelry (no hello kitty or cutesy stuff lol).

Giiiirl okay when you're 40 and everyones lookin 60 you'll be lookin 25 and they'll be like omg can I be you LOL so don't worry about looking "young" xD but anyways, bold lipsticks, darker eyeshadows, and contouring your face would help :)

Thanks y'all, that wasn't the point but like even my guy friends (which, okay, I have 3 friends that are girls and the rest of my friends are a fraternity...) literally all of them thought I looked so much older in that picture (I was 19, that picture was almost exactly 2 years ago). It was a totally noticeable difference. Thanks though :)

I'm 17 and I get asked what grade I am in a lot in my school... When I say I'm a senior they flip out xD I always get that ever since I been in high school. I remember going to the Burger King across my school and the lady asked if I went there and then when I told her I was a junior she literally told me I look like 14 0.0
It's sometimes makes you feel good about yourself knowing you look younger than your age but I do agree it's rather annoying especially when your it's your aw group
