I've heard so much about the toothpaste and salt DIY scrub -both good and bad things- and I just wanted to know what you ladies think/know about it and what are the pros and cons.

Don't use toothpaste on your skin! It'll dry it out and leave it red. Most DIY ideas don't work on me so I stick to store bought products.

Oh. ew, toothpaste?! people claim its good for acne but, no. toothpaste is to clean your teeth, not pimples! haha I mean I'm no expert but that's what I've heard!

This sounds highly irritating and harsh for the skin.

Sounds like a huge No No to me! Toothpaste has an average ph of around 8 and mild face washes have an average around 5.5. The toothpaste and salt could really irritate your skin.

DO NOT PUT TOOTHPASTE ON YOUR FACE! Trust me.. Whenever I had pimples I would apply a dot of toothpaste and it left scars.

Toothpaste is way too harsh for the skin! People use it to "dry" out the pimple they have and claim it works because if the tingly feeling. This tingly feeling us just irritation and won't do anything.
Toothpaste is made for your teeth, not for the delicate nature of your face:(
