Honey is harsh on your skin, so that was probably the problem. I haven't tried jojoba oil myself, but I'm definitely getting it soon, I never see it at Wal-Mart, I've heard great things about it. I don't think it clogs pores, but I could be wrong.

I never found honey to be harsh on my skin but it could be an allergen for you. Everyone's skin is different and what works for one might not work for another. That being said...jojoba oil used on my oily/combo has caused me zero grief but it doesn't agree with my daughter's skin. If you want to try again using it I would definitely go to a health food store and read the labels...make sure its pure and organic jojoba oil with no additives. And do not introduce any other new products to your skin while you're using it so if there is any issue you will know for certain that it was the jojoba oil and not anything else.

Jojoba oil doesn't break me out but it does give me those little skin-colored bumps.
