Hello, I purchased Estée Lauder double wear foundation. I feel like on certain days it's cakey and makes me look tired, and on others it looks ok. Also I don't know if I got the wrong shade but in one picture that was taken with flash I came out so pale and weird looking! Why does this caking happen and flash back? Thank you :l.

Are you setting the foundation with anything?

I'm using the hd elf powder afterwards. Should I use the elf setting spray then or the urban decay one?

It could be the way your applying it or your using the wrong powder.

Estee Lauder makes a "light" version of Double Wear. You may want to get a sample. I prefer it, personally.

Alexis: I'm so sorry I forgot about the other part of the question. Well I use my fingers, they gave me a brush but it leaves the streaks on my face.
I'll tone it down with the powder, maybe I'll test out the spray.

I like using the real techniques expert face brush with this foundation and if there are streaks you probably just aren't blending enough. You need to blend it in really well.

Definitely use the brush, it will help. Maybe try using a translucent powder after you apply the foundation. I'm assuming it's the stay in place double wear, if so it does not need any further coverage or colour.
