Btw if you haven't ever used liquid liner it can be kind of hard, so you might want to practice a little bit before you get serious with it!!

Lol I'm wondering how it clumps as well. I suggest a kohl liner, works wonders. & to follow someone, you click on their picture and click the heart on their page, in the bottom left corner.

Personally, I've never tried anything by Elf, but I think that the problem is that it's just not very good. if it breaks off or doesn't apply evenly, I think that maybe you should get a new one. I've heard good things about the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner, if you'd like to keep it drugstore.

I've heard of mascaras clumping, but not eyeliner. If it's a pencil or roll up gel liner, try to keep it very sharp.

My other thought was that maybe the formula is just awful and it doesn't stay hard enough and sort of just breaks off onto your eyelid...I've had that happen before, it's super annoying.

I actually recommend felt tip liner over liquid, it's so much easier to work with, dries quick, and you have more control over what you're drawing in my experience.
