My sister got these boots for my birthday and I can't tell her I don't like them because she was SO excited to give them to me. How can I make them cuter?

I'd be honest with her. I had to do the same with my sister more than a few times. It beats her spending money on something unenjoyable. :/

It's funny bc I have so many real tree sweaters, sweats, etc.similar to those boots and I still wouldn't know how to style them! Lol. But yeah girl honesty is the best policy

I think maybe a light pink tank top, white cardigan and white faded blue jeans would be killer.

This is something that you would usually find me wearing.. it's cute in my opinion.

This would be cute with them too. Maybe a pink scarf instead and a cardigan or jacket if it's cold.

And yes, honestly is always good. 9 times outta 10, she might want them herself.. I usually give my sister's gifts that I like myself, I'd be happy as hell if she told me that she didn't like them,l because then I could have them lol. That sounds really selfish..

My sister is autistic and she would take it REALLY hard.

Then maybe telling her might not be the best choice, but you would wear them with dark wash skinny jeans or leggings and a sweater (pink, grey, white, black, brown) or a plain t shirt and a cardigan :)

That's sweet of you not wanting to hurt your sisters feelings. I agree with Dottie I think that would look the best (:

Maybe talk to your mom/dad? Just because your sister's autistic doesn't mean you have to tiptoe around her feelings, you just have to go about telling her carefully. And it'd certainly help her in the future; people won't always be as considerate as you, better to get it gently from you than harshly from someone else.

Dye them black

I'd wear them around the house a bit, then say they're uncomfortable - they pinch your toes or the soles are too thin or something. Then invite your sister to go with you to the store to return them and pick out something new.

I would be honest because it seems impossible to me.

They were too small and I had to take them back. But they didn't have my size! Thank you anyway guys ☺️
