Ombre my hair?

Last year I dyed my hair blonde and I loved it! Then my roots started growing out and the way that I dyed it was really weird (box dye, then salon highlights over it) so it was impossible to match the color, so I just dyed it back to my natural color (brown). Lately I've been wanting to do something different with my hair, but I definitely do not want to cut it. So I thought about going back to blonde, but when I first got it done, it didn't look that great on me, once it faded it was fine, so I thought in order to avoid the whole root catastrophe again, I could do a really subtle ombre with most of it being blonde so it gives me the appearance of being blonde. Which ombre do you like best?
