Coming to terms that my natrually dry hair will make it difficult for my hair to be like everyone elses plus the fact I have been dying and styling my hair for years so I know full well its also due to years of chemicals on my hair. However I no longer use heat on my hair but admittedly have changed colours multiple times but no where near the extent of damage I used to do to my hair!
Basically in desperate need of some advice! My hair is no longer elasticy and chewy (thankfully) it is just easy to tangle and generally looks unhealthy and not very soft and extremely dull and not shiny in the slightest!!
Getting fed up of trying to grow my hair out and being scared to do anything to it, so unhappy with it!
Thankyou xox

I'm in the same boat after dying and bleaching naturally dry hair multiple times. Really the only thing that helps are coconut oil treatments, lots of conditioner, and Palmer's coconut milk solution.
Also, keeping hair braided when "not in use" is a lifesaver.

My mother in law has super dry and damaged hair and what I do is put coconut/conola oil in her hair and braid it she'll sleep with it and then shower with it a 10 shampoo and conditoner than she applys a leave in conditioner while its still wet and it make her hair so soft

Do you have low, normal, or high porosity hair?

I would recommend the Pravana Nevo shampoo and restorative condition...plus their leave-in spray with a Wet Brush. Really tackles knots and tangles making hair soft and manageable. I'd deep condition once a week with Coconut Oil or hair mask. as suggested. Keep the water on the cooler side and limit heat use on your hair. Good luck.
