Silicone vs Water Based Foundation

Great question...Water is the main ingredient, but normally the second and third is what you want to look for that will match whatever base ingredient you are looking for. Like, Silicone based foundations have some form or a lot of the ingredient, Dimethicone or isononanoate(used in a lot of hair products for hold). Where water based foundations have a hydro or hydrating ingredient or cyclomethicone which is a really wet textured form..Hope that was helpful..
