I have yet to try to contour my face, but I know that it is best to go 3 shades darker to contour and 3 shades lighter to highlight. Is there a palette, kit that has these colors for fair skin? I'm going to Sephora tomorrow so anything there would be great!

It had 2 matte highlights, one more pink and one more yellow. These are awesome for setting concealer.
There is one more highlight shade and its shimmery. It tends to fall all over the face by the end on the day IMO.
Now the three contour shades. The one in the middle is the one I use most. It is the lightest and has a cool undertone which is good for contouring. The other two are warm and can be used as bronzer.
Sorry for the extremely long paragraph, I just wanted to give you some info behind the product. Hope I helped!

That is not necessarily true (the 3 shades thing). Going that drastic will definitely let people know you have on makeup. It also is not an everyday type of application. The whole point behind contouring is to make the face shape appear more oval-like, because that is the more symmetrical face shape; however, you can use it subtly to make your features pop. But I say subtly, because is supposed to do these things in a natural way, wherein you don't look like you have a bunch of makeup on. Now as for a kit to try... The ABH contour kit has gotten some great reviews, but has also been known to cause breakouts, at least amongst several people I've talked about it with. Another option would be the Smashbox Contouring Kit. Or you could go with a Ms. Jackie favorite, If I remember correctly, and purchase the MUFE Sculpting Kit. I have read reviews and it gets some pretty great ones. Hope this helped.
