I need a camera that will capture the detail in the makeup looks that I do. My current plain old digital camera does not do my makeup any justice. Whenever I try to get a good picture of an eye look, it comes up as looking less then steller. It looks like im barely wearing any makeup when indeed I am. What kind of camera do you think would work best?

How many megapixels is your camera? How many dpi are your pictures? If you are looking for detail in your digital photos that is what effects it. Nikon and Cannon are good brands. Shoot your files at 300 dpi jpegs, or RAW, files if you are going to alter them in photoshop. Try a camera with 8 or more megapixels. Don't set the iso above 200. Hope that helps a bit

Lighting is very important. If you're very serious about your photos then I would recommend investing in a DSLR and shoot in RAW.
