I sometimes like to not have water proof eye liner and don't like the application of a pencil liner so I use an angle brush and dip it into water then swirl it around onto my black eyeshadow and use it as an eyeliner. Am I the only person who does that?

I've done that too, when I want a crazy colored liner. I have a lot of pigments, Mixing mediums will also allow it to stay on better! I find it cheaper and less irritating to my eyes.

This is the only way I apply my liner on my top lid. I refuse to use anything else - I even have a specific eyeshadow that I use since applying liquids to eyeshadows can eventually ruin the original formula & are impossible to use as eyeshadows again.
Many companies sell water activated eyeliners & call it "cake liners" They're not as popular as gels or pencil, but it's my favorite line method to use.

You are not the only person who does that, that is an amazing way to do it in my opinion, especially if your black, matte eyeshadow is pigmented enough. It gives such a soft and still very black look, liquid liners can look so harsh/dramatic and even eyeliners/kajahl pencils can look harsh if not blended out.

Nope, black eyeshadow and a little water works well

I do that as well but I use Duraline by Inglot for the staying power because my eyes are super watery.

I do this all the time, and get SO many compliments. Then I tell them how I did it and it blows their mind. Lol. I use liquid, gel & pencil too. It all just depends how much drama and precision I want.
