Purple shampoo won't really help for the copper tones. Try a blue shampoo or toner. The blue will cancel out the copper, purple is to cancel out yellow toned blondes which is probably why it didn't do all pieces. I use a blue toner for my blonde highlights when they get brassy and each time I use it they look brand new and much lighter.

Oh well then there's no hurt in trying especially since she recommended this(:
My hair lady gave me a this blue primer to brighten my highlights. This is the one if you'd like to give it a try (:

You can also try mixing an indigo dye into white conditioner and leaving that on. That's what I do since my hair just ate toner for breakfast and didn't change at all. I mix one part dye to three parts conditioner, aiming for a lilac shade. Too much dye and your hair can start to look dingy, so start small.

I prefer purple conditioner. Ion makes a good deep purple / indigo shade that I leave in for an hour or two when my hair gets more brass than blonde. But you're right, any parts that were bleached longer/lighter will absorb the toner/conditioner/shampoo better and you'll see better results there. Short of re-bleaching the parts that were less bleached originally, there's not a ton you can do about that.

I don't know if you can get Avon where you are but their purple shampoo is the best I've used by far, it's good because it's purple but it's a blue based purple rather then just purple which to me helped remove both yellow and orange tones I had in my blonde. It looks like this :) and yes you can leave yours in for an hour to see it it helps, I also did that. It may leave your hair with a lilac tinge but that washes out and should leave it more of a platinum colour. This is what the purple shampoo looks like (this is the conditioner cause my shampoos in the bathroom haha)
