I hope I filed this under the right category haha but I really need your guys's help! So I got my cartilage done last week and it was still slightly sensitive but it was starting to get better so Saturday night I spent a lot of the night kind of sleeping on it (I had my hand on my temple so the piercing really wasnt touching the pillow). The next morning, my ear was a little sore but I just figured it would go away and it pretty much did. But then I went out tubing and wiped out and landed on my cartilage. It hurt like heck and I came home and cleaned it, but ever since then its been red and swollen and throbbing. It's painful but I really don't want to have to remove it. 😩 Any ideas on how to help the pain? Thank you so much in advance!

Take some painkillers. I'm not sure if this is even allowed to do with a piercing but I'd suggest putting some ice on the cartilage to reduce swelling and numb it.

Wrap a paper towel around a piece of ice and ice your ear. I did that with mine and it worked.

When I got my cartilage done. I went on a rollarcoaster and ended up getting hit in the ear on the ride. It got red and hurted for a while. Just keep cleaning it out everyday. And you will be fime

Really you aren't supposed to go swimming in pools or anywhere after you've gotten anything pierced, it could be an infection or it's just irritated from being bumped around. Clean it twice a day and try to sleep on the opposite side and keeping away from pools and things like that
