I love vampy colours, bronzes and golds in the fall and winter. I adore NYX Snow White (a blue toned satin red) as a lipstick in the fall, and the W7 Browns palette, which contains 10 shades of varying browns and bronzes. The Naked palette is good for winter (or the W7 In The Buff dupe).

I like brown tones for eyeshadow. one of my fav lipsticks for fall is Dior Addict #773 grenat fatal scarlet siren. its red with a hint of brown and blue toned. I like more orangey tones. I also like kiko #902 it pink with a slighy orangey tone almost nude. naked pallet is always great for fall.

I agree with the plums and vampy lips for fall, I also use fall shades for my eyes like rusts deep greens gold and purples.
