Do I really need primer? I have very dry and sensitive skin. All my friends use one and said I should get one but good ones are quite expensive in the UK so I'm wondering if it's really worth spending all the money?

Primer is worth is because it allows you to use less foundation. For dry sensitive skin, that's a good thing.
Since your skin is sensitive, get samples and try it out before you commit. Beauty counters and Sephora are great about giving product samples.
As for cost, people here rave about ELF and Hard Candy primers, which I believe are quite cheap.

I would definitely use a primer! It will keep your eyeshadow on and it's very long lasting! If your looking for a primer, them I would recommend you getting the primer from Urban Decay. My friend has it and it works great, but it's costly, but well worth it! :)

I use primer in the winter months with my bb cream. In the summer I just use the BB cream because I feel like both is too heavy in the summer.

Use the Smaahbox hydrating primer that's blue. 60% water with only 5 ingredients. Primer makes makeup lay completely different and better on the skin. Well worth it.
