Ivd never because I'm just a kid but personally for your best, don't trust online shopping for that...

Don't do it!! The only time that's ok is when you've actually tried on the dress and it's cheaper online at a reputable site. I can tell you that most gowns do not look anything like the photos on the website. I know this because I was looking to get an used gown to wear to a formal event and I met up with easily 20 different sellers through kijiji. These ladies posted pictures of the gowns that they fell in love with when they were shopping online, these pictures were so photoshopped the actual dress that arrives in the mail seriously looks nothing like it!

It's so unreal how different the dress in the picture with the model looks compared to the actual thing. I wish I took pictures of what those dresses from the ladies looked like compared to the picture with the model.

Oh and lastly, I think half of the ladies I met up with ordered the correct size according to the size charts on these sites and received dresses that they had no chance of fitting into. I seriously think they sell these dresses online because no one would pay the amount of money that these cheaply made dresses go for online if they saw these dresses in person. Hopefully this helps :) sorry for the rambling

It really depends on what website you buy from.. I bought my prom dress online and it looked just like the picture and it was just the right size..

Yeah it honestly depends on the website and if you have a good (more like 100%) idea that it will look good on you. I know when I tried on prom dresses I put some on that looked nothing like how I imagined on me, and not in a good way! Lol anyways I did order my prom dress but I made sure I tried on one just as similar, was sized properly, and it was from a reputable website.

I wouldn't do it. I think its part of the marriage ritual to try on different dresses and find 'the one'. the dress might not arrive. it might not be what you expected. maybe its not the size or totally different design. good luck tho. please post pics of what you bought.

I wouldn't recommend it. just because it looks good on the model doesn't mean it'll flatter your body. in my opinion it also ruins the whole experience. but that's just me. I'd hate for you to buy a dress online then get it & not love it on yourself or not have it even be the same dress or correct size.

Any wedding dress you buy you're going to have altered so don't worry about fitting into the dress exactly. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience at David's. I don't think it's that uncommon there, unfortunately. :(
Were they rude to you? That's what I've heard complaints of. If they were, call and speak to the manager and complain. Especially as a bride you should not be treated like that! You should only be made to feel great.

I totally agree with Bree, no matter what you will need to have a dress altered for fit you perfectly. Sorry for the bad experience at David's, maybe try a different bridal shop if possible. Congratulations btw!☺️
