Depends on what formula of eyeliner you like. I personally favor the Inglot gel liner.

As perfection goes is gel better than liquid brcause right now I use liquid and I cannot perfect it at all it's hard so is gel better?

If you get some type of thick eyeliner pen, sometimes its easier to make the wing cause the thing won't move.

I agree with alexis c. maybelline eye studio gel liner is what I use on a regular basis and I love it! try it out, its from the drugstore so easy to find.

I agree with Sandra! Tube L'Oreal infallible 24hr gel eyeliner in blackest black stayed very very nicely. I also like WNW's liquid Megaliner! Both products are very wash to use, and come out very black.
