I want to start wearing foundation but don't know where to begin! My cheeks tend to get red a lot, so what kind of foundation is good for that? I don't want to have a cake face either lol. Someone please help.

Maybe try a primer underneath that has a green tint to it to correct redness I believe smashbox has one.

I don't know what smashbox or NYX is, are those brands? & I have no clue what my skin type is.. I just uploaded a recent picture, all of my other pictures are old as hell.

I would say a combination of the two. My nose and around my nose gets oily, but that's about it, everything else is usually dry.

What is Sephora? I need drug store make up, I can't afford expensive stuff.

I use drugstore products. I love my Rimmel London clean finish foundation. I have a lot of dark spots on my skin and it really helps cover!

I think it costs around $7 a bottle, but it lasts me a while! I use a garnier fructis undereye roller under my eyes that I love if you would like to try it!

The Clinique redness solutions foundation is awesome. It is pricey, but worth it if you can afford to save for it x

I use Maybelline Fit and it's only $6 for a bottle at Target. I love it and I recommend using bronzer and blush

I just found my holy grail foundation! It's a little pricy, but it's DEFFINITELY worth it!! It's the " loreal true match lumi " it has SPF so it'll protect you from the suns rays. It's very natural, has an amazing color selection, only had to touch up once the whole day!!, makes your skin feel soft! It also has a pump so it's easy to use! I got mine for $11 but I know I saw it for $8 at Meijer! For under eye circles I use maybelline instant age rewind which I got for about $8! I hope I was helpful! I have combination skin too & my skin is kinda red. This foundation works amazing for me so I think it'll work good for you too! ☺

Honestly I think you should go for the Clinique redness solution, especially since your just staring out with makeup. Clinique is noncomedogenic (which means is does not clog your pores). You don't know what the drugstore foundations will do especially since your just trying it out. You can get a sample at a Clinique at Macy's it's the redness relief plus they can match your color so you don't wear the wrong one
