Ok so I just got braces and I was wondering if makeup is any different now that I have braces. Also my mouth is really sore so if you have any suggestions as to how to survive braces in general that's great.

I had braces for 4 years when I was younger. The only things I would say you would have to watch out for is coloured lipstick that might clash with coloured braces (if you have the type where you can change the Colour of the elastics). Other than that, your makeup routine should stay the same! And as for your sore mouth, take some painkillers in the meantime. Your jaw will be sore for about a week or so since you just got your braces on, but it will go away and won't hurt as bad after your next ortho appointments. First time is the worst! Good luck!

Your makeup won't be different and for soreness eat soft foods for 4 days (mashed potatoes, jello, soup) and brush lightly. Don't eat sticky or hard foods that wil loosen brackets. I have had braces for 10 months and I'm getting them off in 7
:) but to keep them from scratching your mouth your ortho should have given you wax to put over your brackets that scratch the inside of your mouth. If not you

I had braces for 5 years! The soreness will subside in a few days, drinking something cold and taking Tylenol or something could help :)
I can't think of any other advice lol getting cool toned elastics will make your teeth look really white! I think your makeup can pretty much stay the same, maybe invest in a really good lip balm, my braces made my mouth very dry!

I currently have braces and as far my makeup It doesn't change at all. I would suggest you take a pain killer, I also agree Louise salt water is amazing with sores. And lastly just try to eat soft foods. The pain will go away in a few days. Good luck (:

Do not get white bands bc they turn yellow and make your teeth look yellow.

Yeah you're makeup prolly won't change. I've never had braces so I don't know much about it, but I think you could still do you're regular makeup (:
