I think my time waiting to get a tattoo is up and I've decided I'd go for it and get something tiny on the inner side of one of my fingers. I was just curious as to how long a teeny tattoo will generally take to do? Also, I know it's going to hurt in that particular spot but I'm just curious about other people's experiences with tattoos? :)

That spot tends to be uncomfortable. As previously stated in another comment to someone else, I am a "tattoo artist". That may take ten minutes to an hour depending on detail and color it could be longer. What do you want the tattoo of?

Yeah that's probably going to hurt a bit, but the pain is different for everyone... I got a cot and the one on my foot hurt like hell and my foot was sore for a couple of days... I'm guessing a finger would be the same (I'm planning on getting my finger done as well) but it really depends on how well you handle pain :)

Also I have to say that the pain of getting a tattoo is not a normal pain and doesn't hurt as much as many think!

I would think a little tattoo like that would take about 20 minutes, give and take a court of minutes depending on what your getting :)

I have a tiny heart on my little finger! took about just 5 minutes! but it was very simple. a text would defenitely take longer :)

I'm definitely thinking of something simple to start out with, it's sortof like a test run to see if I'll want bigger ones like I'd wanted for a while. Right now I'm thinking of a moon of some kind, just an outline, not detailed or anything like that :)

An outline take like 5 minutes, maybe less lol. My cousin has a Saturn tattoo on her finger and it took like 5 minutes. My mom has finger tattoos and hers took like 15 mins. It was just boxy letters and some shading. Finger tattoos generally get done so fast cus they're usually simple and small of course lol! they fade faster though, so they need touch ups more often

Thanks Renay! I figured it'd only take a short time to do which is why I'm opting for a finger tattoo right now apposed to starting with larger tattoos straight away without knowing what I'm getting into, I have a pretty high pain tolerance but yano, I'm still like "wtf is this going to feel like" hahah. I'm cool with touch ups just cause I'm pretty certain it's not going to be expensive at all lol

I got you. Lol. That's smart, my first tattoo I went straight for a big one (my shoulder/shoulder blade tattoo) and was in the chair for nearly three hours nonstop. Needless to say, it wasn't a regret and thankfully I liked the feeling of it (weirdo lol) and now I want a lot more. I feel like I'll be a ink feign once I got the extra money to spend lol! Good luck man šŸ˜

A tiny tattoo on your Finger it should take around 10-15 minutes, in my experience, as my entire forearm tattoo (there's photos on my profile so you can get an idea of size) only took 30 minutes!
Good luck! I heard that finger tattoos are rather uncomfortable to sit through though!

Aw thanks girls, you're all so reassuring haha :)

@Renay, I was going to go straight in with my forearm getting done lol! But I figured I'd start small, I'm aware they're quite addictive :p

I'd consider that hand tattoos do fade a lot faster before getting one

@ Samira, I'm aware :)

It depends on your tattoo artist 1. how light or heavy handed he/she is and experience. I have a small butterfly behind my ear and it didn't hurt an only took 8 minutes.
