Is Moroccan oil (brand type) bad for your hair?

A few years back my hair dresser recommended Moroccan Oil's moroccan oil for my thick, heavy, curly/wavy hair. I recently was reading some article saying how the particular brand type of Moroccan oil is horrible for your hair! I was very confused because I've been using this stuff for about 2 years and my hair is still perfectly healthy (I've had this checked but 2 other hairdressers at different salons) I use about 2 pumps after I wash my hair and let it naturally dry. I wash my hair 2-3 types a week and use heat maybe once a week. My hair is dyed and I use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. So I'm asking if my hair is still healthy and is it okay if I use Moroccan oil (will my hair still be healthy)

Oils are not bad for your hair. The brand they mention may not be pure Moroccan oil and may have added stuff that can dry out your hair. But Moroccan oil itself is very good for your hair. I've been using Moroccan oil for 5 years, and my hair is much healthier now.

What brand what article was it? If I read what they say maybe I can help better.

I read the article, and though I do agree with him, it is not a pure form of Moroccan oil and that is never the best for your hair so this should be avoided, he sounds like he's in bed with another company or makes his own oil that he's trying to get people to buy instead. He's bringing out severe cases (silicone making hair stop growing from the root, etc) that rarely happen, less than 500 cases reported ever. People have been using these ingredients for hundreds of years and not had a problem, and these ingredients are in everything in at least small amounts. He words it like if you use this product it's going to make your hair fall out. It's not. It's not doing long term benefits to your hair and the results are temporary until you wash it out but it's not doing any damage.
I would just start buying a brand of argon/Moroccan oil that it's listed as the only ingredient, or at least in the first 3.

Personally I love it and it works wonders on my hair but I recommended it to my friend and it made her hair feel horrible so I suppose it kind of depends on your hair type:)
