Omg following this thread... my youngest daughter has your hair type and it gets super dry n.puffy once it dries... what is currently working for me is coconut oil while it is still wet.

Yeah I was thinking about using coconut oil. My hair gets dry and puffy as well once it dries.

I just started using Carols Daughter products and it makes a huge difference. It gives my curls more volume and bounce and loosens them up which is what I like. Just don't know what to use to maintain the moisture once it dries. It would be nice to keep my curls defined dry the same way there defined when my hair is wet.

Hey Candi! Haven't seen ya around here lately!! Hope all is well. To keep the dryness and frizz at bay I suggest using a leave in conditioner...As I Am Leave In Conditioner is great or Camille Rose Naturals Leave In. Then you could apply a light touch of hair butter ( I exclusively use one from Camille Rose Naturals) and then seal it all up with your oil of choice...like coconut oil. The oil acts like a sealant. Its important to apply all items mentioned in sections from root to end and a little amount goes a long way.

I completely agree with these ladies, a good leave in conditioner always helps. As well as using coconut oil. I am also going to recommend a curl cream. The one I'm currently using is Ogx Kukui Oil Curl Cream and it gives me that wet look. Miss Jessies Pillow Soft Curls is also amazing but a little pricey..

I have read that for your hair type- which is gorgeous- to LOC it. This means leave in conditioner, oil to moisturize, and cream product to tame frizz. Try naturallycurly.com.
