A blow out is literally when you get your hair blow-dryed straight. Nothing particularly special and most stylists give you one anyway when you get your hair done =)

I think people just go to the hairdresser and get their hair washed and blow dried into their hairstyle professionally then :)

It's exactly what Hannah said! It's just the professional name for having your hair blow dried straight. You don't have to go to a salon to get it done, though it might come out a little neater or more perfect.

There is also something called a Brazilian blow out which I's a hair treatment. It's basically used to eliminate Frizz from curls and make your hair really shiny.

There is another one called the Brazilian Blowout and when that's done they use some sort of Keratin and that helps when you have frizz or wavy hair and want it straight for a while it lasts about 3 mths give or take...

A blow out can also include getting your hair round brushed and styled while being blown dry. It does not necessarily mean getting it straightened. I get blow outs all the time for a bit of bounce and body.
