I have always been a " get up and go" kind of person. So my wardrobe consist of worn out jeans and overworn tees. Recently I have been working on going through a personal transformation psychology and spirituality. Since the inner workings are getting a make over, I feel my style ( or lack there of) needs a make over too. Which brings me to my dilemma, what direction should I go? I love gothic, renaissance, early Victorian, and Lolita dresses, but I'm concerned about the stares or comments I may receive. I am aware rude comments can be made towards any style but I am hoping to get some opinions on the matter. So what do you lovely ladies think, to Lolita or not to lolita? (I included a pic of the dress I have in mind)

Hmm it's a hard questions... I say if this style is what you want I think you should do it! Personally I think the Lolita look can be cute but I think these dresses are a bit much, but really I think no other opinion then you own matters :)

I like the dresses I think they're very cute.I wouldn't be concern about people looking at you sometimes people look because they like it but won't approach the person and sometimes people just look because it's not their style. I look and compliment all the time when I see people out in the streets lol I like looking at everyone's individuality,I think if its your style and your comfortable go for it and this is coming from a person who has a glam room of Disney villains & wicked witch decor and planning on building a tree for decor in that same room lol.. ;-) Wear it with style!

Lol thank you both for your words of encouragement!! Sabrina I agree with something a little less flashy, luckily I'm making my own ( lol too poor to buy the real deal O:-) ) so your pics definitely helps give me a look at the more casual style of Lolita!! Alma thank you very much for your words of encouragement!!
