I love the look of beaded bodices, and bright colors are great for getting attention! Here's a picture of mine, if it helps (it looks so much better on; on the hanger it looks so awkward lol). Any interesting detail; a cool neckline, some slits in the side, embroidery, ruffles/pleats/lace always look nice. Some great places to find dresses are Dillard's, Macy's, and even Deb. I got mine from Deb and it wasn't very expensive.
